Storytelling

...in a nutshell, a story is what a character does to achieve something, and drama comes out of conflict.
Jeremy Mortimer, BBC Radio Drama Executive Producer

Map it out, be open to change, just relax – there's a bewildering amount of advice out there on how to find a story and get it down on paper.

This online course features a lecture on ways to take your writing from a series of episodes to a cohesive unit and on how to captivate an audience, whether you are writing for page, stage or screen.

There are three practical exercises to help you explore the art of storytelling, plus exclusive articles on the subject from practising writers, as well as useful links and a self-assessment form.

You can take this online mini course for £25, which includes access to our Members' Room.

Once you've received your confirmation email you'll need to Register, choose the Members' Room option and enter the password in your email. You will then be able to access the online course materials.
